Information Technology Law and Real Estate Law.
James Moore is a partner at DMHD. His practice area focuses on information technology law and real estate law. With respect to his information technology law practice, he counsels clients on software licenses, data licenses, software development agreements, hosting agreements, non-disclosure agreements, vendor agreements and various other information technology related contracts. With respect to his real estate law practice, he focuses on commercial real estate with a particular emphasis on office, retail and warehouse leasing, representing both landlords and tenants in all aspects of owning and operating commercial office buildings, retail shopping centers and warehouses.
Before joining DMHD in 2005, first as an associate then as a partner in 2008, Mr. Moore had the opportunity to build his knowledge of the information technology industry at a few national firms. As in-house counsel for Fidelity Information Services, he provided legal services to corporate divisions within Fidelity that provide information technology services to the real estate and financial services industries; drafted and negotiated software licenses, data licenses, service agreements, and other information technology related contracts. At Alltell Information Services his responsibilities included implementing systems and converting loan data for new clients. While at Alltell, Mr. Moore obtained juris doctorate and began providing legal services as contract manager; drafted and negotiated new and renewal contracts for Alltel’s software products and technology services for the mortgage loan servicing industry. At Temple-Inland Mortgage Corporation he managed delinquent loan servicing functions for a nation-wide portfolio of mortgage loans; also responsible for managing the system implementation and data conversion process with respect to the defaulted loans portion of its mortgage loan servicing system.
